The Laughing Stock

The Laughing Stock is the Greenville Little Theater’s resident comedy improv group. Our shows are traditionally 45-60 minutes and consist of a series of short-form scenes. No scripts! No props! No sets! No preparation! Each scene is created on the spot and developed from audience suggestions of characters, settings, and relationships. If you can imagine it… we will make it happen! What are you waiting for? Come see our next show! We promise you an evening of entertainment and fun for the whole family!

History:

The Laughing Stock began in 2006 when John Ellis and Bryan Gallagher started an independent theater group originally called The Merely Players. Improv shows were performed at the old Port City Java in downtown Greenville. Today the Laughing Stock regularly performs family friendly scenes on the GLT main stage. In the past, Laughing Stock has also been fortunate enough to perform live at The Handlebar, Clemson University, and Fluor Field.
