Auditions

The Greenville Little Theatre holds open auditions for anyone in the community who is interested. For main stage productions, auditions are typically held 8-10 weeks before the show opens. For our Studio 444 series, they are held 4-5 weeks prior. All auditions are in either Magill Hall or on stage. No experience is necessary to audition.

When auditioning for a non-musical, the director will typically ask you to read from the show's script. When auditioning for a musical, you must prepare one song to sing (preferably from that particular show) and bring along sheet music for the musical director to play along with you. We may also ask you for a dance audition, so be sure to wear comfortable clothing.

After the initial audition, you may be “called back” a few days later to read again from the script, sing, or dance again. So what are you waiting for??
